Your Hometown Rec League

Teaching More than Baseball

Updated Friday January 1, 2016 by Kate Combs.

The objective of the League is to develop and promote in children ages four (4) to eighteen (18) through the medium of properly supervised and competitive baseball:

  • Good sportsmanship;
  • Understanding and respect for rules, coaches, and umpires;
  • Courage in learning defeat;
  • Tolerance and modesty in victory; and
  • A spirit of cooperation and team play.

In attaining this objective, the instilling of the desire to win, or the winning of the game, is to be the secondary objective.
